B-PEP
is mainly an all volunteer organization that relies on the dedication
of people who donate an incredible number of volunteer hours to an
organization that they truly believe in because of its ability to
"uplift" the African American community and provide "hope" and a sense
of purpose. B-PEP recieves some modest funding from local
foundations(Three Rivers Community Foundation, Poise Foundation that
support the vision and mission of B-PEP in addition to revenue from
fundraisers and monies raised from B-PEP Planning Council members and
supporters.) Please consider making a donation of $30, $50, $100 or
more today to ensure that the important work of B-PEP continues into
the futrue. Our budget this year is $83,000 which would allow us to
successfully carry out the work of the Coalition Against Violence,
Reclaim The Vote Initiative and the Racial Equity and Empowerment
Project. In order for us to raise all of the monies needed that
includes grants, we also have to be able to rasie some funds from the
communities that we serve who support our work.

Dear B-PEP Council Member:
Now
that 2008 is underway, we have an opportunity to have a financial B-PEP
moment. In order to sustain the progress of our essential organization
in the fight for justice, promoting the importance of African Americans
voting in each and every election and anti-violence, we need to support
these efforts financially.
Beginning
this year, an annual fee of thirty dollars ($30.00) will be assessed
for each member. This assessment will cover the expense for an
Administrative Assistant, travel expenses incurred by our chair and
co-chair, and the costs of B-PEP telephone service.
Please complete the attached form and submit your membership fee no later than Monday, March 31, 2008.
Make checks payable to Hill House Association noting B-PEP on the memo line and mail to Hill House Association, 1835 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
Thank you for your continued support.
