ALL African-Americans vote in EACH and EVERY election.
Thanks so much for taking the time to view our B-PEP website. We are continuing to update our site, and to keep our viewers informed of what we do. The Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP), as are many organizations and movements, was born out of upset, in this case the absence of Blacks on the City Council of Pittsburgh in the mid-80s. We have gone on, since our launching of May 21, 1986, to launch the Greater Pittsburgh Coalition Against Violence (CAV) and the Corporate Equity & Inclusion Roundtable (CEIR).
Information on both initiatives can accessed through this website. They, too were created to counter some of the situations which continue to face the African American community of the Pittsburgh Region. We seek to “…move from Complaint to Possibility…from Planning to Implementation and Mobilization” in all that we do. We ask that you utilize this website to see what YOU can do to positively impact the communities of Pittsburgh and beyond. We continue to seek, and to welcome, new partners. We’d love to have you as one of them!
